Note: This musical is based on DAS LAND DES LACHELNS by Franz Lehar and Ludwig Herzer. An English version entitled The Land Of Smiles opend on May 8, 1931 at Theatre Royale, Drury Lane, London with lyrics by Harry Graham. A new English version by Christopher Hassall played at the Sadler Wells in 1959 for 55 performances (and was recorded as HMV (S) CSD1267). Another version with lyrics by Ira Cobb, Karl Farkas, and Harry Graham opened on September 5, 1946 at the Shubert Theatre, N.Y.C., under the title YOURS IS MY HEART.
